Liza Dunkley

Liza has worked in the Podiatry field for over 24 years, graduating in 1999 with a first-class honours degree at the University of Salford and later was awarded a Masters degree. Liza’s special interests are musculoskeletal Podiatry, biomechanical gait analysis and foot orthotic prescription and she has a wide variety of skills in manual therapy and acupuncture for treating foot pain and dysfunction.

Liza’s career has been varied and she has worked at Clinical Specialist level in the NHS, within the private sector in clinical practice, as a Senior Clinical Lecturer at the University of Huddersfield and co-created a podiatry clinic. She has worked with a range of different patient groups of all ages, managing foot complaints in children, adults, elderly patients.

During her roles she gained extensive experience in all areas of general podiatry including:

  • High risk footcare

  • Long term conditions

  • Sports injuries

  • Orthopaedics

  • Musculoskeletal podiatry

  • Orthotic provision

Liza has a holistic integrated approach to achieving optimum foot health and foot function. Her aim is to make you as comfortable as possible, helping you walk with ease, by providing an individualised evidence -based approach to the management of your foot problems.

Many previous patients have commented that they enjoy having their feet treated and find it a relaxing experience and love how comfortable they feel afterwards. Individuals who may feel apprehensive about having their feet treated have nothing to worry about as general routine podiatry is gentle and often there is immediate relief from discomfort following treatment for most skin and nail disorders.
